The style of an item refers to the way the hair is styled when you receive it. It refers
to the specific cut and the way the hair itself is shaped, whether curly, straight,
spiky or in dreadlocks. Read on for a brief description of each style we carry.
Afro
Think big, think poofy, think 70s. An afro wig is a big, round, kinky-style wig.
Popularized in 70s culture, this style wig has experienced a come-back several times
over the years.
Bob
A bob style includes straight, chin-length hair with straight bangs.
Braids
Put simply, a Braids-style wig has hair that is already braided. The braid type and
length varies from wig to wig but will be detailed in the description of a specific wig.
This style of wig is the easiest to maintain, as no styling is necessary.
Combination
Wigs classified as combination/other combine two or more of the other styles details on
this site or are in a truly unique style. Details of the style of a wig of this type are
included in the wig description.
Curly
Curly wigs are just that... curly. The style of curl ranges from very tight to loose and
flowing. The exact type of curl will be shown in the wig pictures and described in the
description of the wig.
Dreadlocks
A dreadlock-style wig (also referred to as dreads or rasta hair) is similar to a braided
style except the hair is clumped together in a dreadlock rather than twisted. Wigs of
this style can have thick or thin dreadlocks.
Flip
A flip-style wig is usually a shoulder length, straigh-hair style. The unique
characteristic of the flip style is that the very end of the hair is curled (or flipped)
outwards.
Layered
A layered wig has hair that starts out short at the top and gets increasingly long as
you move to the bottom, creating a layered effect.
Spiky
A spiky wig has hair at the top (crown) that is style upward in spikes. Popularized in
the 80s, this style has enjoyed many comebacks. There is no need to worry, though, as
the spikes are not sharp.
Straight
Not much to say about this style except that it is straight. No curls, no waves, no
spikes... just straight.
Wavy
A wavy wig has hair that has flowing waves in it. Not as curly as a curly wig, not as
straight as a straight wig... wavy wigs tend to give a more natural and less heavily-
styled look.
Wet Look
A wet look wig is usually a curly style wig designed to look wet, as if a sheen spray
had been applied.
